Adolescence is a critical period of development for individuals. In the mother-daughter relationship, the mother plays a crucial role as a source of information and guidance. The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of an adolescent development training program on parenting methods and the mother-daughter relationship This study used quasi-experimental design with pre and posttest but without a control group. The Sample consisted of 60 mothers who participated in a five-session training program, with each session lasting two hours. The participants completed two questionnaires: Parent- Child Relationship (short form) (Gérard, 1994), and the Parenting Scale (Arnold, O’Leary, Wolff, & Acker, 1993). Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test. The results indicated a significant reduction in authoritarian parenting style (p < 0.01) after the intervention program. Furthermore, not only did the authoritarian style decrease significantly following the training program, but the parent-child relationship also improved. The educational program helped parents establish a more effective relationship with their adolescents and provided more opportunities for their independence.
