Abstract

Aim: The purpose of this study is the effect of mobility and orientation training on the social skills and social adjustment for 12 to 18blind students. Methods: The methodology is an experimental study with pretest, post test and control group. The sample of this study was 30male blind students in range of 12 to 18 ages who were studying in special schools for the blinds in 1394-1395.these groups were studied in two categories: experimental(15 persons)and control (15 persons) group. Social skills SRSS test and social adjustments bell questioner for adultshave been used to study social skills and social adjustments. these students were taught orientation and mobility tor 10 sessions. Covariance and variance analysis were used to analyze the results. Results: The results describe that teaching orientation and mobility improves the 12 to 18 blind student's social skills and social adjustment abilities. Conclusion: The results shows that mobility and orientation training can increase social skills and social adjustments on blind students and make their lives much more easier Key words:
